Taney and Stone Counties are located to the south and southwest of Christian County, the county seats being Forsyth and Galena respectively. Taney County includes Table Rock, Taneycomo and Bull Shoals Lakes, all of which are popular tourist destinations as well as Branson which is in both Stone and Taney. There are too many activities in those areas to name, but some of the most popular are the themepark Silver Dollar City, Dolly Parton’s Stampede and other live shows, Johnny Morris properties Dogwood Canyon Nature Park and Big Cedar Lodge, shopping at outlets and the Branson Landing, Aquarium at the Boardwalk, Track Family Fun Parks, the Titanic, exploring historic Downtown Branson, golfing at one of the area’s 13 golf courses, or just enjoying a relaxing day by the lake!

Other cities and unincorporated communities in Taney County are Hollister, Merriam Woods, Rockaway Beach, Bull Creek, Kirbyville, Taneyville, a segment of Saddlebrooke, Kissee Mills, Bradleyville, Brownbranch, Cedar Creek, Day, Dickens, Eastview, Garber, Hercules, Hilda, McClurg, Mildred, Mincy, Ozark Beach, Point Lookout, Powersite, Protem, Ridgedale, Swan, Table Rock and Walnut Shade. Some of the protected Mark Twain National Forest is in both Taney and Stone Counties.

The Branson West Airport is in Stone County. Other cities, villages, and unincorporated communities include Branson West, Crane, Hurley, Kimberling City (the largest city in the county), Reeds Spring, Blue Eye, Coney Island, Indian Point, McCord Bend, Shell Knob which is partly in Barry County, Abesville, Browns Spring, Cape Fair, Carico, Carr Lane, Cross Roads, Elsey, Jamesville, Lampe, Notch, Oto, Ponce de Leon, Possum Trot, Reeds Spring Junction, Union City, Viola, and White City.
